What is Glass? |
|
Answer:
Glass is a substance formed from melting silicate based materials at a very high temperature and cooling them quickly.
The most common source of silica is sand. Glass can
be poured or blown into any number of shapes and sizes from clear glass
test tubes to rippled, tinted glass flowers in a sculpture covering a
casino ceiling which is what makes it so useful to so many individuals.
Although it is a brittle substance, it will not contaminate the
contents of anything held inside of it, nor will it conduct electricity.
