What are the most common cabinet stains? |

Answer:
Cabinet stains come in hundreds of "flavors", Normal wood stain comes in just about every color imaginable, including some that might not readily be identified with natural wood coloring (i.e., blues, greens, etc.; believe it or not, some of these are very appealing). To create a list of the most common cabinet stains would be hard to do, since there are just too many choices, but looking at some of the cabinet stain product websites and other sources, it appears a large amount of cabinet finish choices hover around "neutral"; that is, natural wood with a clear or slightly color-toned seal-coat in glossy, matte, satin, or even 'glazed' finishes. Natural wood has a beauty that is meant to be displayed, in my opinion. Modern day finishes help to enhance that beauty by reinforcing and bringing out the highlights and preserving it from weathering or drying out. Wood stains can cause natural wood to change coloring significantly, especially with multiple applications. It is important to perform a few tests on practice pieces before committing to a large undertaking of staining a lot of cabinets, to ensure the outcome is acceptable. Trackback(0)
