What is a Buyers Agent?

Answer:
It is not uncommon for a home buyer to feel vulnerable
and intimidated navigating through the treacherous real estate waters, searching for the best house at the best price.  Thanks to Buyers Agents, the home buyer need not travel alone.  The job of the Buyers Agent is to represent the home buyer exclusively, removing the conflict of interest for the selling agent.

Buyers Agents are required to negotiate the best contractual terms at the best price for the buyer, and this requirement is backed by law.  Often called Exclusive Buyers Agents, a Buyers Agent will help the home buyer avoid costly pitfalls by ensuring that all features of the home are clearly listed in the buying contract, that all documentation is provided to the buyer, and that all inspections and land surveys have been carried out.

The experience of the Buyers Agent in the entire real estate process can be very beneficial, especially when dealing with the legal matters associated with buying a home.  In return for their loyal services, when a home buyer signs a contract with a Buyers Agent, the home buyer agrees to work exclusively with the Buyers Agent until such time as a home is purchased or the contract expires.
