What is a Caster?

Answer:
Caster is defined as the small wheels
which are designed and mounted to make the movement of appliances easier.

The various appliances in which casters are attached are furniture, shopping carts, office chairs, industrial, hospital beds, medical equipments and many more. Caster can be designed either fixed to roll in one direction or pivoted to automatically align to move in the desired direction.

Caster can be designed using wood, rubber, steel, grooved aluminum, plastic and is available in different designs. The major advantage of Caster is easier movement which in turn also helps in the effective cleaning process. The disadvantage of using Caster is Flutter which is the side-to-side movement of the Caster at certain speed. However Caster is not expensive and the cost will depend on their ability to support the amount of load.
