Where can I find Real Estate Auctions?

Answer:
Real estate auctions are abundant with the decreasing
housing market.  Although the auctions aren't advertised regularly you can usually find them in your local news paper.  A home in foreclosure can often be auctioned off on your local court house steps.  There are several online websites that deal in a variety of different auction scenarios.

NAA Real Estate MLS is a searchable auction site. This website allows you to search real estate auctions by location, price etc. The NAA specializes in showing single family residential auctions as opposed to investment type properties or mult-family buildings.

The other site I recommend is The National Auction Group .  National Auction specializes in investment properties or bulk auctions.  Most are multi-family condos and townhomes for sale.  Some of the single family real estate auctions they have are very high end properties.  For example, they auctioned software developer John McAfee's Pike's Peak Estate, and the winning bid came to $5,720,000.

There are several auction houses that specialize in real estate.  The best way to keep up-to-date with the auctions is to join each respective companies newsletter alert.  The alerts will notify you by email when a new auction is coming up.
