What are the different types of Siding?

Answer:
Whether planning a new construction or upgrading an
existing home, one of the most important decisions that can be made when it comes to value and curb appeal is the choice of siding.

We are all familiar with the ever popular vinyl siding, which is relatively inexpensive and is offered in a variety of colors.  There is the predecessor of vinyl, the faithful aluminum siding, and there are the dozens of varieties of wood sidings, from cedar to birch to spruce to fir.

But along with these more traditional options, there are newer materials being added to the arsenal of siding selections.  Two examples are cement siding, which offers extreme durability, and nailite specialty siding, which is a polypropylene designed to mimic the look of cedar shake siding.
