Answer:
Maybe it's time for a new kitchen or perhaps you'd A remodeling contractor acts like a general contractor on a smaller scale. In most cases a remodeling contractor will handle some of the work themselves. Sometimes they'll handle all of the work. It all depends all the job. Either way, a remodeling contractor is hired to handle your job from start to finish. Take for instance, a kitchen remodel. Their job is to have a definite picture of what you are trying to accomplish and to tell if you all your dreams are capable of becoming reality. Once this is established they need to organize a materials list and schedule any subcontractors. New cabinets won't be needed for 3 weeks, but they take 2.5 weeks to receive. They need to be ordered now. Drywall will need to be hung in 1 week. That's a day later then the drywallers were told. Are they still available? They will handle pulling your buidling permits and their expertise allows them to tell you if that wall you want moved is load bearing or free to leave. Every job looks smooth on paper, but it NEVER is. Your remodeling contractor is hired to handle all of this commotion so you don't have to. It is there responsibilty to make sure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to communicate any necessary information to you. Before you hire a remodeling contractor make sure you have done your research. As always, the best source of information is from their prior customers. Call their references and try to tour some of their previous projects. Trackback(0)
