What is a Skylight?

A skylight is like having a window in the roof, allowing the admittance of more natural light during peak sunshine hours. Skylights are perfect for use in home libraries, lofts, and attic rooms, where natural light would be preferred. Skylights are offered in a variety of shapes and sizes, depending upon personal preference and need, and can be used to increase a home’s energy efficiency by reducing the amount of light electricity used during the summer and by reducing home heating needs during the winter, by trapping radiant heat from the sun. Skylights are perfect for rooms that do not already have the presence of a side window.
