What is Concrete?

Answer:
Concrete is a substance made of cement, water, additives
to create bulk (such as sand) and sometimes other chemicals or even dyes.  This material is used in the construction of buildings.

Reinforced concrete is where rebar (short for reinforcing bar) usually made of steel is placed within the interior of the concrete.  Concrete is a  liquid-like substance when it is first mixed and it hardens within a period of several hours into a rock-like firmness.  Concrete is known for its durability and the handy characteristic of being able to be molded into many shapes and forms.

The word concrete can also mean solid and refer to the strength of an idea.  It can also be contrasted with abstract or invisible, as in a concrete plan of action vs. an abstract sense of dread.
