What is Siding?

Answer:
If you have ever looked at a house, chances are you
have seen siding in one form or another.  Whether it is made out of wood, cement, aluminum, or the ever popular vinyl, siding acts as a home’s external skin, protecting the interior from the ravages of wind and rain.

Home siding also helps with internal climate control by offering a support to the insulation that holds the extreme temperatures at bay.

Siding is meant to be durable and lasting, with siding life spans being measured in decades.  The more durable the material, the longer its life expectancy, with the newer materials like vinyl lasting the longest of all.  So next time you are curled up in the comfort of your home, just remember, it is your siding that is protecting you from the wild weather of the great outdoors.
